The Sigma III Pool Conditioner |
"Magnets help disinfectants kill nearly a third
more bacteria in swimming pools, say
researchers at Cranfield University,
Bedfordshire , England. Their findings,
presented recently in Newcastle at
a conference on chemical engineering,
provide the first proof that commercial
magnetic devices for treating swimming
pools have an effect."

"In 1973, U.S. Government agencies identified an alternative method (for water conditioning) that has been used for over 37 years in Europe and Asia-the magnetic water conditioner."
Russell J. Alessi, Exec. V.P. Educational Foundation, NAPHCC, August, 1987
"Di-Polar process has been shown to reduce scale formation".
Arizona Water Quality Association Fact Sheet, Alternative Water Conditioners, June 2001.
It would be difficult to consider modern technology without magnetism. Radar, television, radio, and electron microscope, cyclotron in atomic energy, etc., could not work without the existence of permanent magnets to guide the electrons or to increase their kinetic energy. It is well known that magnetic fields have an effect on the behavior of dissolved matter as well as of crystalline matter. When water, or any stream of atoms passes through a powerful magnetic field, it changes physically in the same way atoms change when run through the particle accelerators used in physics.
The altered water polarizes calcium and particles of debris into clumps large enough that they can be filtered out. The Sigma Pool Conditioner protects equipment, improves water clarity, dissolves swimmer waste, reduces calcium, lime and scale deposits on tiles, plaster, fiberglass, and pipes and makes the water act soft while retaining acceptable water hardness.
